Russian / New sounds
Цц
The letter “цэ”
/ts/
Ц ц sounds like ts, as in "cats". Looks like a U with a little tail; the tail is the giveaway it isn't Latin U.
Where is Ц on the keyboard?
On Russian Phonetic, ц is on the key QWERTY prints as "c", left middle finger. On ЙЦУКЕН it is on the key QWERTY prints as "w", left ring finger. Two different physical keys for one letter, which is why moving between the two layouts is its own skill rather than a detail.
