Terms of Service

Polytaipe is a browser-based typing trainer. The core trainer, every mode, and every layout are free to use. A paid tier may add extra data and features later; when it does, its billing terms will be added here.

You need an account for stats sync, the leaderboard, and social features. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and know that you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is meant for one person.

By using Polytaipe, you agree not to:

• automate, script, or otherwise fake typing results, especially to place on the leaderboard;
• scrape, overload, or try to break the service or its security;
• harass, threaten, or abuse other people through messages, usernames, bios, or any other feature;
• post illegal content or impersonate someone else.

We measure typing server-side and flag results that are not physically plausible. We may hide, remove, or exclude flagged results, and we may suspend accounts that break these rules.

You only appear on the public leaderboard if you turn that on yourself, and only with a verified email. We rank one best result per person and filter results our anti-cheat considers implausible. Placement is not guaranteed and can change as we improve the checks.

Your username, display name, bio, avatar, and messages are yours. By posting them, you grant us the limited right to store and display them so the product can work, for example showing your name on a leaderboard or a profile. Keep them lawful and appropriate. We can remove content that breaks these terms.

Paid features are not yet available. When they launch, we will publish clear pricing, billing, and cancellation terms here before charging anyone.

Polytaipe is provided as it is, without warranties. We are honest about the research on typing and layouts, and we will not promise a speed gain the evidence does not support. Your results depend on your own practice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from use of the service.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which removes your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the service whenever you like.

These terms are governed by French law, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.

We may update these terms as the product grows. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will do our best to give notice. Continuing to use Polytaipe after a change means you accept the updated terms.
