Russian / New sounds
Щщ
The letter “ща”
/shch/
Щ щ sounds like a long, soft "shch", like saying "fresh cheese" fast. Ш with a little tail; the tail lengthens and softens the sound.
Where is Щ on the keyboard?
On Russian Phonetic, щ is on the key QWERTY prints as "]", right little finger. On ЙЦУКЕН it is on the key QWERTY prints as "o", right ring finger. Two different physical keys for one letter, which is why moving between the two layouts is its own skill rather than a detail.
